AHPA is a signatory on a letter to Australian and New Zealand Food Ministers expressing support for mandating the display of the Health Star Rating (HSR) system.
Led by The George Institute and supported by a coalition of public health and consumer representatives, the letter expresses support for steps towards mandating the display of the Health Star Rating (HSR) system as part of a suite of evidence-informed measures to improve population diets. Voluntary uptake has stalled after a decade of implementation, and the HSR system must be mandated and strengthened to retain consumer trust and achieve its public health goals.
