Dr Gemma Crawford - National President

Gemma is a pracademic with almost 20 years of experience in the practice, advocacy, teaching and research of health promotion and public health. She has worked within health services and across the resources, tertiary and not-for-profit sectors in a range of roles including managing state-wide mass-media campaigns, implementing education programs in prisons and supporting organisations to evaluate interventions. Gemma is course coordinator for postgraduate health promotion and public health, teaching and research academic in the School of Public Health and social sciences researcher with the Collaboration for Evidence, Research and Impact in Public Health at Curtin University. She is also Director of FoxPollard Consulting. Since 2013 Gemma has been AHPA’s national President. She has been involved in AHPA at a state and national level since 2005 holding roles as both the President and Treasurer of the WA Branch. In 2020 Gemma was conferred as a life member of the Association.
