Candace is a proud Yuin woman, Health Promotion academic, registered nurse and social epidemiologist. Candace has an extensive background in Indigenous health promotion and public health, coupled with governance experience. Candace is the Academic Program Director of Indigenous Health Promotion degrees and the Academic Lead for Indigenous Public Health at the University of Sydney, leading numerous research projects, advocacy campaigns, and policy initiatives aimed at addressing health disparities among Indigenous communities. Candace is also a member of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner Board at AHPRA providing insights into governance practices and regulatory frameworks within the health sector.
