In the 2023 Queensland Health Promotion and Public Health Student and Early Career Webinar, we have a stellar lineup of speakers who will profile their positions and the health promotion and broader public health work they engage in.
This year we approached specific organisations and networks as we wanted to demonstrate the various organisations that operate within the health promotion and public health sphere but who may not be top-of-mind for students and early career professionals entering the job market. We have done this purposefully to try and demonstrate that sometimes you need to think about the types of work and skills you possess to find jobs that align with your skill set. These position titles might not always align with the obvious titles such as a ‘Health Promotion Officer’.
Speakers will discuss their journeys, careers and current positions to assist in demonstrating that careers in health promotion and public health may not always follow the expected trajectory. It is envisioned this, alongside the provision of tips will guide our audience in finding and curating their own unique career trajectory. The event commences at 5 pm (AEST) and will be recorded and distributed to registered participants only. The recording will be made available for a limited time.
