AHPA Member Communique Christmas 2016

The AHPA® branches, Board and its committees work hard throughout the year to support and promote the health promotion profession and advocate for good health promotion policy, research and practice.

As 2016 draws to a close, we thought it was a timely opportunity to share with you, our members and supporters, some AHPA highlights in our end of year communique.

This is also a wonderful opportunity for me to express my gratitude to the AHPA Board for their commitment to implementing the strategic vision of the Association. My sincere thanks to this group of steadfast individuals who give up countless hours, and without whom we would not have an association.

I would also like to acknowledge the people who make up our Board committees, Branch committees, HPJA Editorial team and Editorial Board, the staff at NFPAS, to our funders and partners and to our committed members, all working together to ensure health promotion has a voice in Australia.

The Board of the Australian Health Promotion Association wishes you, your families and friends a safe and joyous festive season and a healthy and happy new year.

“For last year’s words belong to last year’s language. And next year’s words await another voice. And to make an end is to make a beginning.” – T.S Elliot

We look forward to working with you in 2017 to achieve our vision of leadership in health promotion.

Gemma Crawford
President

Note: the AHPA secretariat will be closed from December 22 2016, reopening January 09 2017.
