The Australasian Epidemiological Association (AEA) are hosting their 2023 Annual Scientific Meeting from Wednesday 18 to Friday 20 October 2023. The theme of the meeting is 'How epidemiology can ensure healthy lives for all.'

The meeting will provide a platform for sharing evidence and findings in epidemiology, as well as sharing ideas and making recommendations for the way forward. The meeting will have high quality national and international experts presenting various aspects of epidemiology.

GAPC is the leading forum for the world’s alcohol policy makers, advocates, researchers, civil society activists and practitioners. 

The conference theme is: Investing in people before profits: building momentum towards the Framework Convention on Alcohol Control.

This conference will look specifically at gender and health, at health care delivery generally, the use of digital tools, and the necessary staffing and skills to provide good care. It will, in line with the overall  conference theme, look in depth at the climate emergency, and very specifically at the human food supply.

Health Justice Australia is hosting a national conference: Health Justice 2023 on 23 - 24 November 2023. 

Over a two-day program, speakers and participants will share perspectives on the complex challenges faced by people experiencing intersecting health, legal and other problems, from domestic and family violence to mental ill-heath and addiction, the problems that bring people into contact with child protection, poor-quality housing, fines and debt. 

The Alliance for the Prevention of Mental Disorders (APMD) Conference 2023 will be held from 11am – 4pm on Tuesday 28 November 2023 at the Rendezvous Hotel Perth Scarborough. This event will be held immediately prior to the 2023 Society for Mental Health Research (SMHR) Conference in Perth, Australia.

The Conference will include interactive discussions focusing on the latest Australian research relating to the prevention of mental health problems.

The 43rd Annual Society for Mental Health Research (SMHR) Conference will be held at the Rendezvous Hotel Perth Scarborough from 29 November to 1 December 2023.

The conference theme will focus on ‘People and Place’, encouraging attendees to broaden their perspective on research to include not just the who, but the how, what, where, and why of mental health research.
