Following the successful Writing for Publication webinar in November 2021, the Australian Health Promotion Association (AHPA®) is thrilled to have Alison Bell return to deliver the second installment in this series: Publishing for Early Career Researchers.This workshop aims to provide publishing tips for authors from manuscript preparation and submission to publication and promotion. It will also provide guidance for health promotion researchers, practitioners and policy-makers to prepare quality submissions and/or undertake quality reviews for contemporary peer-reviewed health promotion journals.

The event is free for AHPA members and $25 for non-members.

Participants will gain knowledge in the following areas:
• manuscript preparation and submission
• peer review process
• article publication and promotion
• navigating publication ethics
• copyright
• open access.

Presenter: Alison Bell, Journal Publishing Manager, Wiley.
Alison is a Journal Publishing Manager at Wiley and has partnered with AHPA since 2018 to oversee the business aspects of the Health Promotion Journal of Australia, helping direct the journal strategy, and providing guidance on journal publishing best practice and business-related issues.
Through a long career at Wiley, Alison also has experience with the end-to-end submission to publication processes, author services and resources, ethical publishing practices and the emerging open access market.
