Dr Sandro Demaio Sandro Demaio is a doctor and globally renowned public health advocate who has led multiple global and local movements including co-founding NCDFREE, a global social movement against chronic disease that reached more than 2.5 million people in the first 18 months. In 2019, he led the EAT-Lancet Commission on healthy diets from sustainable food systems that received huge global attention from research, public and private sectors. Now as the CEO of VicHealth he is leading a team focused on collaborative action for the health and well-being of Victorians.

Dr Katherine Cullerton Katherine Cullerton is a Research Fellow in the School of Public Health based at the University of Queensland. She has extensive experience working in in a range of public health sectors and settings in Australia and in the UK. Before joining the University of Queensland, Dr Cullerton was at the MRC Epidemiology Unit at the University of Cambridge, UK, where she investigated whether it is ever acceptable for nutrition researchers to engage with the food industry and, if it is, under what conditions. Her current research focuses on why evidence doesn’t translate into policy and understanding how advocates can better influence nutrition policy. Katherine is the co-facilitator of the webinar.

Professor Lucie Rychetnik Lucie Rychetnik is Co-Director of The Australian Prevention Partnership Centre, Professor with the School of Public Health at the University of Sydney, and Adjunct Professor with the School of Medicine at the University of Notre Dame Australia. She has over 30 years of experience in translating research and mobilising knowledge for public health policy and practice; conducting empirical research on the use of evidence in population health, disease prevention and clinical settings; and leading methodological work on evidence synthesis and appraisal for public health decisions. Lucie is the co-facilitator of the webinar.
