Health Promotion in Local Government

The Australian Health Promotion Association (AHPA®) invites local government staff to attend a free, online session on the role of health promotion in local government and the benefits of joining AHPA.

This event is specifically for the Victorian local government workforce.

Participants of this event will:

  • Gain insights into the Association and the benefits of membership
  • Understand the diversity of health promotion in local government
  • Explore some examples of health promotion in action within Victorian local governments
  • Gain insights into the process and benefits of being an IUHPE Registered Health Promotion Practitioner
  • Have the opportunity for questions to be answered.

  • Lucy Wickham: AHPA Board Director
  • Marni Ford: Senior Health Planner, City of Casey
  • Sarah Lausberg: Health Promotion Manager, healthAbility
  • Ella Ridgway: Health Promotion Officer, City of Greater Geelong.

This event is specifically for the Victorian local government workforce. AHPA Branches will host events for local government staff in other jurisdictions over time - stay tuned for details.
