Webinar 1: Critical health promotion ethical, ecological practice
18 November 2020, 4-5:30pm AEDT

Webinar one aims to facilitate conversation on critical health promotion practice using a set of 12 values and principles incorporated in the Red Lotus Critical Health Promotion Model as a foundation for critical practice. Presenters will share their recent scholarly work in critical health promotion including the continuum of 12 health promotion values and principles which at one end characterise critical health promotion practices and at the other end selective health promotion practices. They will demonstrate how this values and principles continuum can be used as a heuristic to reflect on and critique health promotion practice and determine the extent to which the practice aligns more with critical or selective approaches. Webinar participants will be invited to use the health promotion values and principles continuum heuristic to reflect on their own practice or that of their organisation as a basis for further conversation in webinar two in the series.
