Michele has over 30 years experience in the area of health promotion, primary health care and public health at the state and national level and is now running her own health promotion consulting business. Michele has extensive experience in the planning, implementation and evaluation of health related policies, programs, campaigns and services. She has worked on a range of issues including obesity, physical activity, tobacco control, falls prevention and chronic illness (eg asthma, diabetes and heart disease) as well as working with different settings including schools, local government, workplaces, general practice and community services. A focus on redressing inequities in health outcomes underpins Michele’s approach to all her work.
As a consultant Michele has completed work for the World Health Organization, Australian National Preventive Health Agency, three Medicare Locals, several health departments and community organisations. She has been an AHPA member for many years.
