Marguerite teaches and researches in the School of Public Health and Social Work, QUT. She coordinates and teaches the core qualitative methodology unit in the Bachelor of Public Health, the foundation unit for health promotion and the capstone research methods unit for the Masters of Public Health. Marguerite supervises higher research degree students undertaking qualitative research projects. Her area of expertise is settings based health promotion, in particular, workplace health promotion and Participatory Action research (PAR) as a strategy to enable behaviour change for hard-to-reach high-risk workers such as miners and truckies. Margo has been a Queensland Branch Committee member since 2007 and joined the National Board of Directors in 2015.
