Topics will include:
• Share lived experience and engagement with researchers researching Aboriginal issues;
• Reflect on current research practice through guidance of experienced Aboriginal researchers to develop a deeper understanding of research collaboration (vs competitive ways of working) with Aboriginal communities;
• Discuss data collection and data analysis;
• Contribute towards the shared Kimberley vision of an Aboriginal researcher network. These networkers would (ultimately) be helping to improve their own communities and workplaces through their inquiring approaches; and also forming a pool of researchers to ensure non-local researchers follow local Indigenous protocols and support or undertake their research requirements within a strong ethical and cultural context.
Numbers are limited and places are reserved on a first come, first-served basis.
Attendees will be notified of successful enrolment shortly after receipt of registration form and workshop fee.
Workshop Fees for Participants:
There is a fee of $300 (including GST) for the 3 day workshops. Fees include course material, lectures and the opportunity to network with fellow researchers.
