Natalia Smith

Committee Member

Natalia (she/her) lives in the regional town of Bendigo, Victoria on the land of the Dja Dja Wurrung and Taungurung peoples.

Natalia works at Bendigo Community Health Services (BCHS) as the Senior Leader Integrated Health Promotion. She brings a wealth of knowledge in public health and health promotion with over 12 years of experience in both the community services and health sector.

Throughout her career, she has remained dedicated in her commitment as a passionate advocate, tirelessly striving to enhance health and wellbeing outcomes, especially for the most marginalized of our rural and regional communities.

 

Natalia is both an accredited IUHPE Registered Health Promotion Practitioner and AHPA member. She holds a Bachelor Health Science (La Trobe) and a Graduate Certificate International and Community Development. Natalia completed the Leading Edge Program with Women in Leadership Australia in 2023, Governance Foundations unit with the institute of Community Directors Australia and is a recent graduate of the first AHPA Leadership and Governance pilot program 2023-24.

Early in 2024, Natalia joined the APHA Vic/Tas Board Committee, bringing her wealth of experience and passion to the table. Her excitement about this role stems from the opportunity to represent the voices of regional communities, contribute to AHPA's statewide initiatives, and continually enhance her skills to better support her local constituents.
