Thomas Munro is an early career health promotion professional. He works as a HIV and Related Programs (HARP) Health Promotion Officer at the Sydney Local Health District. In this role he designs, implements and evaluates equity-focused health promotion initiatives aimed at reducing the burden of HIV and STIs among priority populations. He has previously worked at ACON, a NSW based NGO specialising in HIV prevention and improving the health and wellbeing of the LGBTI community. Here he led a small team developing and implementing peer-based programs and campaigns to reduce the transmission of HIV among gay and other homosexually active men. Thomas holds a Master of Public Health, Graduate Diploma of Psychology and BA (Philosophy/Gender Studies) from the University of Sydney.
