Elly is a public health professional and researcher working in obesity and non-communicable disease prevention. She has a BA (Hons I) and Master of Public Health from the University of Sydney. She has worked in a range of policy and project roles, including advising for the Hon Tanya Plibersek MP, Federal Member for Sydney and former Minister for Health.
Elly is a PhD Candidate in the Prevention Research Collaboration, School of Public Health, Faculty of Medicine and Health and Charles Perkins Centre at the University of Sydney. Elly’s research focuses on attitudes amongst young adults (18-30 years) towards chronic disease prevention policies and strategies. Elly also tutors at the University of Sydney in disease prevention, health promotion and public health advocacy strategies.
