Gemma is a pracademic with 20 years of experience in the practice, advocacy, leadership, policy, teaching and research of health promotion and public health. She has worked within health services and across the resources, tertiary and not-for-profit sectors in various roles, including managing state-wide mass-media campaigns, implementing education programs in prisons and supporting non-government organisations to evaluate interventions. Gemma is a course coordinator for postgraduate health promotion and public health, senior teaching and research academic in the School of Public Health and social sciences researcher with the Collaboration for Evidence, Research and Impact in Public Health at Curtin University. She is also the Director of FoxPollard Consulting. Gemma has been involved in AHPA since 2005 at both a branch and national level. She has held roles as the President and Treasurer of the WA Branch and has been AHPA’s national President since 2013. In 2020 Gemma was conferred as a life member of the Association.
