Karina Reeves
Co-President

Karina Reeves (she/her) is an early career IUHPE Registered Health Promotion Practitioner. Currently, she is the Coordinator of Health Promotion at WAAC, a Western Australian not-for-profit dedicated to promoting health equity and fostering inclusive communities to support sexual health for all. Karina holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and also serves as Vice President of the Western Australian branch of the Australian Health Promotion Association.

In 2020, Karina began her career as a Research Assistant at Curtin University, where she contributed to a range of projects on sexual health, blood-borne viruses, and migration. These research and evaluation efforts informed policy development, advocacy, and resource design. Her passion for systemic change and improving health systems for migrant communities, particularly in sexual health, was further highlighted in her role as Co-Chair of the International Student Sexual Health Network, where her work influenced reproductive health access policy in Western Australia. Outside of her professional endeavors, you can find Karina training for her next fun run, or embracing her love for all things pink, girly pop music, and reading high fantasy novels.
