Senior Research and Evaluation Officer – WA Department of Health.

I have worked in the public health and community development field for over 25 years. This has included working for WA Health, the UK public health sector and various international development organisations in Africa and Nepal.

I have coordinated the monitoring and evaluation of a variety of public health and community development projects including for a 20 million-pound UKAID community development project in Nepal. For five years I managed and supported health promotion and behaviour change projects among communities affected by HIV and AIDS.

My academic background comprises of a Master of Public Health from the University of Manchester and a bachelor’s honours degree in Sociology. I recently completed a Sustainability in Healthcare course with University of Notre Dame, and I am also co-author of two academic papers. Currently, I work in the Population and Preventive Health Directorate in the WA Department of Health as a Senior Research and Evaluation Officer. Previously, I worked for WA North Metropolitan Health Service in the Health Promotion Team. I am passionate about preventive health and reducing health inequalities and inequities among priority populations.
