Maria Torres
Student Representative

Maria completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, along with postgraduate studies in Epidemiology, in her home country, Colombia. She has recently completed a Master of Public Health at Torrens University Australia.

Maria has a strong interest in health promotion initiatives, health equity, and community engagement. As a dedicated Student Representative of the Australian Health Promotion Association, she is committed to amplifying student voices and supporting the development of the future public health workforce. Her goal is to use her clinical and public health expertise to drive meaningful change and improve health outcomes in diverse communities across Australia.
