Dr Justin Guagliano
Committee Member

Dr Justin Guagliano is a Lecturer in Health Promotion, based in the School of Health Sciences at Western Sydney University. Prior to joining Western Sydney University, Justin completed post-docs at the MRC Epidemiology Unit and Centre for Diet and Activity Research at the University of Cambridge and the Department of Kinesiology at Kansas State University. He was also involved in the development of a physical activity promotion campaign led by public health departments in Ontario, Canada.

Justin is primarily interested in conducting research that promotes health and prevents obesity and chronic diseases among young people through community- and family-based interventions. He is also interested in reducing health disparities among underserved populations, examining the motivational underpinnings for physical activity, sedentary, and dietary behaviour, and behavioural epidemiology – to understand the patterns and determinants of physical activity sedentary, and dietary behaviour in young people.
