Become a member and keep up-to-date with the latest health promotion issues through our two flagship publications - the official Health Promotion Journal of Australia published three times per year, a peer reviewed journal of health promotion practice and research evaluation, facilitating communication between researchers, practitioners, and policy-makers involved in health promotion activities; and the quarterly Australian Health Promotion Update newsletter.

Members also can take advantage of discounted fees to our annual conference and various branch run professional development activities.

Becoming a member of the Association also links you automatically to your local branch, allowing you to take advantage of local benefits and networking opportunities.

Other membership benefits include:

  • Professional development, including seminars, workshops and training courses on a wide range of topics;
  • Some branches provide scholarships for health promotion students or graduates, and mentoring programs;
  • Ongoing Branch based activities providing opportunities for members living in regional, rural and remote areas;
  • The Association’s Mass Mailing Facility continues to provide all members with employment information as well as professional and workforce development information and activities.
